I cannot connect to Steam using the normal service for game launching. If I open Steampowered on my internet browser and login there, then everything is perfectly fine from that point. It's weird
Jan 04, 2020 · Unable to connect to online games such as in steam etc I can browse the internet with fast speeds etc. however I am unable to play online games in applications such as steam or origin. When I restart I am sometimes able to connect to csgo servers for 5 minutes or so but then lose connection. Only a messagebox comes up: "Steam.exe (main exception): To run Steam, you must first connect to the Internet" It worked earlier; Other connections are working (http, vpn, skype) Firewall not blocking; Router not blocking (don't need port forwarding afaik) Did not found solution or any usable hint on the net so far. I had to re-download the PeerGuardian installer dmg to get the uninstaller. I ran that twice (to be sure) and then re-launched the Steam app. Immediately could log in without issues
